Manchester United returned back to England from their tour of Australia and the Far East with four wins from four games during their pre-season Tour which has saw them play good football coupled with positive results.
Perhaps the most encouraging thing for United during their friendly performances have been the displays from the latest batch of academy stars. There was no surprise to see Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and James Garner included in the tour squad, after Ole said he was going to give youth a chance but the importance of their roles has been a very welcome sight to see.

Season opener against Chelsea FC was quick coming and hopes of United fans were high as ever after seeing their team's beautiful display during the pre-season tour and the new pattern in display by Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

The stage was ready as ever, a rivalry and against a team coached by Frank Lampard - termed "Club Legend" to thug it out.
The game ended in a 4-0 victory to the home side, Manchester United and their were many talking points.

MAN UTD VS CHELSEA: A REFLECTION OF WHAT TO SEE FROM  SOLSKJAER'S TEAM AGAINST AN ATTACKING SIDE

Marcus Rashford with the first goal of the day on the 18 minute mark after he was he brought down by Kurt Zouma and he converted excellently well into the net. Anthony Martial doubled the lead after a quick play from United and a beautiful assist from Andres Pereira. Marcus Rashford doubled his tally after a quick and spontaneous pass from Paul Pogba and in-come Daniel James scored the fourth with another pass from Paul Pogba.
With Chelsea largely being the better side on the day had 7 shots on target and 54% ball Possession compared to United's 5 and 46% of the ball.
With Man Utd's team largely lying deep and waiting to go on a counter was the call to say it was.

Man Utd has since then failed to get a positive result from their games against Wolverhampton Wanderers,Crystal Palace and Southampton.

Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molinaux Staduim was going to be a tough one, as expected.
A 1-1 draw draw after a beautiful equalizer from Ruben Neves made sure United went home with a point.
A surprised 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford followed after a Jordan Ayew's goal earlier on in the first half and a late goal from Van Aanholt to give Crystal Palace the win.
Away to Southampton, another 1-1 draw followed.

In each of these games, it was obvious United lacked creativity and their strikers were not taking their chances.
Paul Pogba has created 11 chances from open play in the Premier League this season, only Kevin De Bruyne (13) has created more is largely seen playing from a Defensive-Midfield position and that in some way, has done more damage than good to the squad. The chase for Bruno Fernandes had been a lost course as soon as the English transfer window closed.

Alarm bells should also be ringing over the fact United still don't have a specialist right winger, and despite impressive displays from Daniel James, it is naive to expect him to occupy that position throughout all of the new campaign.

What will be the course of Ole Gunner Solskjaer's team against a team pretty ready to sit deep and play with their chances on the counter?
Will there be be a change of tactics against Leicester City?
Will Paul Pogba be pushed up to play the No. 10 role or will Fred take the place of Jesse Lingard?

Only time will answer these questions.
